My trip was generally good, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. The hotel itself was nice, though I found the Hyatt to be a much better experience overall. There were several dining options within the hotel, but their limited hours made it inconvenient at times.
One major downside was the elevator—it made unsettling noises and had a noticeable bounce, which felt a bit unsafe. The bed was also uncomfortably firm, leading to back pain during my stay. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, and the food was decent, though nothing particularly memorable.
I had to walk to the Hyatt for part of my trip, and while I personally didn’t feel unsafe, I did notice a significant unhoused population in the area. Some individuals approached me early in the morning asking for money, which made me uneasy about the idea of my wife walking alone, especially given the visible signs of drug use in the vicinity.
Check-in was quick and efficient, though impersonal—I was simply handed a key without any information about the hotel or its amenities. Throughout my stay, I found the staff rather disengaged, as they didn’t offer morning greetings or any form of interaction.
Overall, while the hotel had its positives, the combination of an uncomfortable bed, a concerning elevator, and a lack of warm service makes me unlikely to return.
