“This was an excellent base for daily island 'hopping' which was the purpose of my trip. It was quite a bit more expensive than their hotel accomodation, but I needed the flexibility of being able to self cater early breakfasts and (sometimes) late dinners. The catering facilities were relatively basic - and I wouldn't have wanted to have planned to prepare full meals from scratch - but for my purposes (fried egg and beans on a bagel on repeat!), perfectly adequate. “Fantastic stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Orkney. My room was beautiful with everything you could need. My bathroom was fantastic with a bath and a great walk in double shower with rain shower. The food is fantastic and I would highly recommend eating here even if you aren’t a guest. All in all a fantastic stay and hopefully I will be back soon”

“Very welcoming and friendly manager / staff. Clean rooms and very comfortable bed and chairs. Shower was poor (luke warm water which could not be adjusted with poor water flow). Breakfast was acceptable (cereal, toast, boiled egg - not full English). Beautiful outlook across to Hoy with small ferry terminal serving Hoy and Flotta close by. Not inconvenienced by ferry, noise or traffic using it. Excellent position for visiting the ‘mainland’ including Kirkwall and Stromness. A car is a must……
