My recent stay at The Richland was fantastic. The staff was not only exceptionally nice, but had an enthusiasm about their work that is rare. Their passion for the history of Orange is apparent, and they share that exuberance with their guests. Katherine in the front office made us feel comfortably at home, and Derek at the bar showed off his mixology skills with pride.
My only two suggestions (not complaints):
I love that Phil Brigandi's book, "A Brief History of Orange" is in each room. It would be great to have it available for purchase. I realize you aren't booksellers, but the history of The Plaza district is entwined with the history of The Richland, and I can imagine that guests would love to have an informative souvenir of their stay.
It would be nice to have an eco friendly recycle bin in the room. Otherwise, the room was lovely, comfortable and well appointed with fine architectural detail.
Nice job, everyone. The Richland will be our place to stay when visiting the city of Orange in the future!
