Sit back and soak up the surrounds and serenity in this nature lovers paradise.
This property has been owned by the same family for the past 30 years who look forward to sharing this piece of paradise with you.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this cosy family bach has all the comforts of home including a wood burner (wood supplied), fully equipped modern kitchen (with a water filter tap and Nespresso machine), board games, kayaks, boogie boards & good quality linen (to name a few)!
House is positioned in a quiet cul de sac and located up a bush lined concrete driveway. Off street parking available for 2 cars with plenty of on-street parking available also.
The property is almost surrounded entirely by vast native bush giving a profound sense of peace, privacy and relaxation. Enjoy elevated standing views of the estuary from the deck.
A two-minute drive to the car park of Coromandel's stunning Opoutere remote surf beach, and a short walk to the pristine estuary - a great spot for bird watching & kayaking, with a boat ramp for public use, and a jetty for fishing.
Opoutere is one of the few coastal areas left on the Coromandel Peninsula where residential development has occurred only at low levels. The natural beauty of the area is outstanding, offering 5km of unspoilt white sand beach, uninhabited with no buildings visible from land or sea. Well known for great surf, and beautiful walking tracks. Local artists to visit include Guity Evelyn at the Topadahil studio.
Opoutere is a 10min drive north from Whangamata township, this is where you will find shops, restaurants, cafes in a seaside resort. The nearest supermarket and petrol stations are also in Whangamata.
You can also use Opoutere as your base to explore the other scenic wonders of the Coromandel Peninsula.
No more than 1 hour drive to:
Waihi end of the Hauraki Rail Trail
Hot Water Beach
Cathedral Cove
Whitianga
The location is also enjoyable for more peaceful breaks in the cooler months when the Coromandel region is quieter.
Please note, Opoutere is not connected to the town water supply. The house runs on water tanks. Water conservation is very important while staying at this property and especially during the warmer months. Bottled water for drinking is supplied.
