“Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult.”

“Although it was a B&B you still had the option of a ensuite room with a private entrance. However, there was another door in the suite that takes you out to a large beautiful kitchen and dining area which you can share with other guests. There was plenty of provisions for a cooked breakfast and three very large fridges for guest use. The outside area is lovely, a great spot for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. The accommodation is modern, high spec and spotlessly clean. Amazing showers and……

Not far from the center of town for our Espresso runs, even though a ‘pod’ machine is supplied. The wedding venue 15 mins away, driven by the owner of our accom. very convenient. “This is a fantastic property with exceptional hosts that will make sure you are well-looked after. The location, on the 'quiet' side of Mount Torrens, is fantastic - with minimal traffic and plenty of wide, open spaces. The property is appointed with all the creature comforts that ensure guests are comfortable, relaxed and able to disconnect from their busy lives. Hannah is an exceptional host and my partner and i thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended!”

“We enjoyed our four night stay at Ashton retreat. We found it a welcoming place to relax and enjoy the established extensive gardens around the retreat.The little touches made it special-a full fruit bowl, fresh milk , a variety of breakfast cereals, fresh coffees and a variety of teas etc. Kate and Andy were very welcoming - - thank you for the delicious homemade berry jam and fresh homegrown rhubarb.
