“Me and my partner stayed here for 7 days, the property was absolutely perfect. The location is great it’s easy to find and tucked away but also 10 minutes from town (Selfoss) and 50 minutes from the south coast sites. The cabin was very cosy and had all the amenities we needed, the bed was comfy and perfect. We woke up and were greeted by chickens and a dog outside which was a lovely surprise. The best part was we saw the northern lights from the cabin on the last night, Petra was easy to……

“Choose this place for a great view over a lovely lake, a large deck with a spacious hot tub feed by natural hot water, very clean and thoughtfully built and supplied house, quiet surroundings and the best horse riding experience around! We LOVED our stay here. Renata and her family are so friendly. ”

“Auch wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Check-In hat reibungslos geklappt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war immer freundlich, Anfragen wurden umgehend beantwortet. Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage, um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Sie liegt abgelegen und trotzdem dicht an der Straße. Man hat absolut seine Ruhe und ist für sich. Einziges Manko war leider, dass es extrem hellhörig ist. Wir würden aber trotzdem gern wieder kommen 😊 Erwähnenswert ist……

“Grund is truly a gem. It's a beautiful and very comfortable house in a quiet and sparse "neighborhood". It was such a treat to watch the sun set over the Icelandic landscape from the sauna and watch the aurora right from the house (it's a fairly good viewing point with lots of open sky, dark enough though you could drive another 45 min away to be in a totally dark zone). Thorsteinn is a very responsive host and we were in touch during the whole stay. I will be recommending Grund to my friends……

“We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages.”

“The property was in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The interior of the cabin was cozy and warm while the outside was winter winter. The isolated set of cabins are located near a pretty well equipped town, close to the Golden circle and all of its attractions, and far enough out that it gets nice and dark at night if you want to see the Northern lights. There is a food court with six stands a short drive from the cabin, many other options in the small town, and it is close to Selfoss which……

“We loved the quiet location and natural setting for the large, comfortable house. Looking over the river while we relaxed was incredible, as was the hot tub on the deck. This was a perfect location for viewing northern lights!”
