Berry Branch Cottages are a one of a kind vacation destination. This is a place that the whole family can come and spend time together and have their own sleeping accommodations. The three cottages are older and made of Indiana limestone but have all of the modern amenities of home.
Have you seen the movie Dirty Dancing and the Camp they visit in the Catskills? You will be reminded of that from the moment you see the Berry Branch Cottages sign, to the long driveway across the dam overlooking the 11-acre lake or passing the water fall, to the drive up to one of the THREE cottages.
You will love this setting. At each of the 3 cottages, there is a park-style charcoal grill (you provide the charcoal), a fish cleaning table, a fire pit and a view of nature. At the lake there is a small boat for each cottage. (Doesn’t matter which one you use as there are 3 cottages and 3 boats.)
You DO need to bring your OWN linens, towels, pillows, blankets for these units (like camping).
Lakeside Cottage, the newest remodeled cottage is a 1BR, 1BA cottage overlooking the lake. You will find a queen bed and 2 rollaway single beds. A full kitchen with all the dishes needed to supply a family meal. If you have that specialty item you like to use in the kitchen, you might want to bring it with you. There is a dining room and a living room for those family memories. This unit has a wood burning fireplace.
Old Timer’s Cottage (the first cottage ever erected on the property) has the most history. It too is a 1BR, 1 BA with 2 single rollaways and had the same amenities at the Lakeside Cottage. There is no fireplace at this cottage.
Meadow View Cottage is nested beside the nice meadow of wild flowers and where you might just see some extra wildlife, depending on the day. Deer love to forage there and enjoy the sunshine. This is our 2BR, 1BA with 2 rollaways all of the same amenities as the other cottages. This unit has a wood burning fireplace.
Lakeside Cottage holds 4 people, Old Timer’s Cottage holds 4 people and Meadow View Cottage holds 6 people so a total of 14 people can stay here at one time.
This is a great place for larger families to come and catch up from their busy lives. This little camp has been in existence since 1958 when Jack and Thelma Crider decided to share their peace of Heaven with others. Today their grandson Clayton Beard and his wife Kayla live onsite in the old homestead. They ran this camp for a few years on their own but with their growing family, they have decided to turn over the Management to Hills O’ Brown Vacation Rentals. SO, whether you have been coming for 50 years, and yes some have been, or whether you will be a first time guests, Clayton and Kayla hope that this can be the place that you will come and visit for many years to come.
All our cabins have a 3 night minimum for Major Holidays.
