「Property is removed from town just enough to be delightful but close enough to drive there within minutes. The home was furnished well. The grandkids loved sleeping on the bunk beds and in the loft. The queen rooms were perfect for the adults. The yard had room for the kids to play outside. Owner is easy to contact and very helpful. We’ll stay here again when next in the area. Highly recommend.」

「I loved staying at this house. It was a historic house with really nice updates inside. The house was as described and it was very clean. I appreciated all the info the host supplied before we came. They gave eating info and where to buy groceries. The neighborhood felt safe and would stay here again.」

「We stayed with our family of 30 people, including 15 grandkids. There are only 4 private bedrooms, but the endless bunk beds in the basement made such a FUN sleeping place! The property was even better than we had imagined, with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River and acres of grass for playing football and other games. We stayed there in June and enjoyed the magic of fireflies at night, but the favorite activity was swimming in the POOL! It was a lovely place to stay.」

「The Sonora Town Hall Cottage was in the perfect location to enjoy Nauvoo and Carthage and be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area. Greta, the host was darling and she made sure we had everything we needed. The space was clean and charming. We highly recommend it and hope we can come back!」

「The property is just what you would expect nestled on a ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. There were a few dead bugs inside, but (as someone who lives in the MidSouth) that is to be expected in the summer. The owner obviously took steps to prevent live bugs and spiders inside. Lots of room to spread out. The views are incredible! We enjoyed our stay overall.」

「We enjoyed our stay here. The host was very responsive, and everything went smoothly. Being an older house, the light/dimmer switches were somewhat of an adventure. Guests should know that only two bedrooms are fully private, with two bedrooms passing through to other bedrooms and one being a loft area above the family room.」

「We enjoyed our stay in this charming home. It was close to everything we needed. It was comfortable, cool, and clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The full-sized fridge was a lifesaver in preserving our granddaughter’s wedding flowers. Would definitely stay here again!」
