Upon my arrival at the hotel around 1:00 pm, the receptionist kindly checked me in, processed my credit card, and provided me with two room keys. He informed me that I would need to wait until 3:00 pm to avoid any extra charges, which I respected and followed. However, two days later, he approached me during breakfast and told me there had been a misunderstanding, stating that I hadn’t checked in properly and that I would be charged an additional fee for an early check-in. This was surprising, and when I politely inquired about the reasoning, his response was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, making me feel quite uncomfortable.
Throughout my stay, I felt that he treated me with unwarranted hostility and seemed to carry a negative bias, which was disheartening. Additionally, I noticed that the sheets in my room were not as clean as I would have expected, but given the interactions, I didn’t feel comfortable bringing it up with him. I eventually discussed the situation with management, who resolved the issue, but the overall experience left me saddened. I had hoped for a more welcoming and positive stay.
