“The room was comfortable and the staff was courteous. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. The restaurant did not always have everything on the menu. Later I figured out it is likely due to resource management. For instance 3 out of the 4 days we were there they didnt have drip coffee. This is likely because there were hardly any guests so they dont make a pot of coffee. However on a day they had an influx of guests, it magically appeared. “We were in Joburg to visit family before a flight out to USA. The room was excellent - esp the view across to Little Falls and the city. Best of all they were very accommodating of our need for an extended checkout at a reasonable fee so that we could head tot he airport rested. ”

“Great overnight stay to enjoy the Monte Casino complex, have a great meal at one of the reataurants in the courtyard. The room was clean, comfortable and sufficient for a one night stay. I would recommend it to travelers passing through the area,lots to do and see. Exiting the hotel on to the courtyard was convenient. Staff are friendly, restaurant breakfast was basic but sufficient and tasty, with enthusiastic friendly staff. Overall a great experience.”

“I felt safe. The property was clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Room service was great. There is an outlet and the hairdryer by a mirror, which is very nice. I had a very short stay and it was great. The only downside was they have no luggage carts/trolleys. I had a lot of bags and it was difficult to manage that. So, be ready to haul all of your bags by yourself. ”
