This was a 1 night stay for a family funeral in the area. After having stayed here 9 years previous we decided to re book. We were unable to open the front door on arrival due to the door getting stuck. The ceilings on the way to our room looked like the hotel had several leaks in various area which had been left and not repaired. Our room was dirty on arrival with what looked like a years worth of dust on the lights, bulbs not working, balcony locked as unsafe and rings from previous occupants cup on side cabinet. I spoke to reception who gave us complimentary coffee with our meal in the hotel restaurant (the food was lovely).
I could deal with the above for 1 night but thw main issue was when we went to bed. The pillows although they had clean lining, smelt of sweaty people, the TV is in a strange place with poor visivility from the bed, the room was unbearably hot, there was a stong stench of fishy amonia coming from the toilet in the morning before it was flushed numerous times and to cap it off no conditioner in the complimetary toiletries.
Breakfast was lovely, views amazing and the staff friendly but I would not book again.
