We always stay at this hotel when we are going to Newark airport. We live far away and when on a long trip usually have to spend the night in Newark and take a morning flight as the last leg of our journey b/c there are not very many flights to where we live.
Newark/Elizabeth where the airport is, is not a vacation destination. It is a rough city and not a place to dine or see the sights for most tourists. So finding a hotel for a night is a bit tricky. This is not a luxury experience--and why would you need one for a one night stay --but the hotel is small and manageable, spotless, the staff is wonderful, helpful and kind, breakfast is varied and serviceable and very convenient and the price is very reasonable. The rooms have a neutral appearance with fresh paint, enough lighting, individual heat and ac you can control. Sheets are crisp and the rooms we have had are completely quiet. The room is equipped like a chain hotel with wifi, extra towels, shuttle to the airport etc but feels more like a place run by caring humans rather than a factory. Also you can leave your car in their parking lot long term until you return for not too much money and it is safe--we love this option for the times we have driven to the airport. There are machines for beverages and snacks near the elevator which we have taken advantage of and there are some delivery menus in the lobby which are ok from restaurants in the area--very basic Chinese and Italian. A clean, safe and convenient option.
