We stayed at Naxos Magic Village and found both strengths and areas for improvement. The bedrooms are spacious, the Cycladic-style architecture is charming, and the location is convenient — about 10 minutes by car to both the beaches and Naxos town. Our room had a balcony with a small sea view, and the daily cleaning service was excellent.
However, there are some drawbacks. The hotel does not have potable tap water and does not provide bottled mineral water. Breakfast had variety, but the service was inconsistent: on some days fruit, teas, or water were missing. The coffee was disappointing, fried eggs were very oily, and scrambled eggs not well prepared. On the positive side, the bakery section was excellent, especially the pancakes, croissants, cakes, desserts, and the Greek yogurt.
Service overall was mixed — staff could be moody, sometimes friendly and sometimes not, except for the pool attendant who was always welcoming and customer-focused - Mr Manos - . The rooms, while large, are old and in need of renovation. The shower area was very small, with poor water pressure and splashing issues, and one of our rooms had a strong unpleasant smell for two days. Wi-Fi was also unstable and did not reach the breakfast area.
Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its space, architecture, and location, but some improvements in service, facilities, and breakfast quality would make a big difference.
