The room and overall facilities were perfectly average. They are limited on pillows...for a king bed, there were 3 flat pillows provided. The issue is with the staff. I slept past check out by 15 minutes, which is completely my fault. There are no phones in the room, so I called the front desk and asked about a late check out. $20, no big deal, pretty standard. I got a call 20 minutes later saying I had 15 minutes to clear the room. That's fine, I was almost done. Then 5 minutes later, someone was pounding on the door saying I had to pay, right then, or they would call the cops. I wasn't even allowed to put clothes on to answer the door, he said if I didn't open the door right then, he would call the cops, so I had to open the door in my towel. Thank goodness I had brought my own towel that covered everything, because the towels provided certainly don't much of anything. I wasn't trying to pull a fast one on the facility. I messed up, and I know it. But their communication is terrible, the owners don't talk to each other, and not being allowed to even put on clothes before answering the door without the threat of cops? It was a very rough and frustrating experience for someone who is just a bit of an innocent forgetful female. Oh, and be prepared...the mattresses are hard as a rock. I lucked out and can sleep anywhere. My friend with me didn't sleep a wink. Just something to be prepared for.
