Nestled in the back of an 1840 log home, the Dairy cottage in The Cedars is a repurposed gem. This early 1900s Milking Barn is a unique piece of history. Surrounded by peaceful landscape, let the sounds of nature lull you into tranquility. Transformed into a two-bedroom picturesque cottage and beautifully decorated, you will be afforded all the amenities of home as you experience this one of a kind lodging. Let its uniqueness and beauty complete your trip to the surrounding Nashville area.
Welcome to our historic sanctuary! We hope that our repurposed barn exceeds your expectations and makes your stay in Tennessee memorable!
As you walk through the walls of the cottage, you will find custom wood features throughout such as a gorgeous cedar slab bar, windows and door frames reframed in cedar and pine, custom cedar cabinets and the original exposed cathedral ceilings. Modern barn doors adorn the doorways to each room.
But at the turn of the 20th century, a massive barn door once stood on the Eastern side of the structure and a long trough was located on the Northeast wall extending well into the now kitchen. Cows were farmed providing milk and cheese.
Peaceful surroundings, and elegant soaking tub, fresh espresso and farm fresh eggs are just some of the luxuries you will be able to enjoy.
Come experience a sweet retreat with the serenity of country life and natural landscape coupled with modern amenities and touches of opulence. Experience the soothing effect of rain falling on the metal roof while you soak in the Victoria and Albert tub in our luxury bathroom. Enjoy the calming sounds of surrounding wildlife such as birds, fowl, horses, and goats.
Go for a stroll along secret pathways on the surrounding 11 acres and be amazed by the natural landscape studded with indigenous cedar trees and so much more.
