About this space
Located on Mount Kenya Wildlife Estate, this private 1,000 acre sanctuary is teeming with wildlife. We've worked to create a beautiful sanctuary for ourselves and for you, our guests, that captures the splendor of the land and of our diverse cultures. We hope it is a space for you that celebrates community, nature, and restoration - especially during this stressful time of COVID-19.
The space
We've invested in high-end mattresses and pillows, quality table-wear, and beautiful artwork to bring you luxury in the wilderness. Adjacent to Ol Pejeta, this is a place where you can connect with yourself or people you care about. With three patios and enormous windows, catch sunrise over Mt. Kenya, sunset over the Aberdares (Nyandarua), or gaze in awe at the star-filled sky at night. Private chef available separately.
Excellent for small corporate retreats, too - an unparalleled choice for a small work group to get away and strategize (complete with large white boards on rollers to reimagine your way through COVID-19).
This is not a party estate or party house. If you are looking to bring a large group and/or to party please look elsewhere. IF YOU ARE MORE THAN NINE ADULTS AND CHILDREN, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A BOOKING.
If instead you are looking to create lasting memories with family, friends, or colleagues we would be delighted to host you.
Guest access
You will have the house to yourselves. Please see the photos for the five bedrooms (one a comfy pull-out queen bed), an ample living room that seats 8-10, outdoor seating for 6-8, and dining room that can seat up to 12.
A shared but unheated pool can be a welcome treat on hot days, and the clubhouse has a big-screen TV with DSTV (WiFi too). These are approximately 3km away, closer to the main gate.
An excellent chef is available to book separately, and he can even shop for you!
If you have children, we have a bassinet, a Hauck adjustable high chair and bibs/child spoons, an Ergobaby carrier to explore the 5km of trails, a training potty, basins for bath time, and a few books and miscellaneous toys etc.
White boards and markers are there too for corporate brainstorming.
Private entrance to world-renown Ol Pejeta Conservancy, with their Morani restaurant just a 15 minute drive away (they have WiFi too). We have all the bird, animal, and flora guidebooks you could wish for.

Other things to note
There are 5km of hiking trails and murram roads for you to use to walk or bike (can be rented).
On the turnoff from Nanyuki towards MKWE, just 20 minutes away, is a Java House and Chandarana supermarket for a bite out or a place to pick up all the amenities you'd need.
You can rent a BBQ from the MKWE office for just KES 500 ($5).
