The unit we were initially assigned was not good. Few updates, damp carpet, damaged appliances, no washer/dryer in unit (which actually was confusion on my part). After voicing my complaints to Seawatch staff, I was told to contact the owner. I did that and received a reply very quick. The owner notified Seawatch management. The next day I was contacted and was offered the opportunity to shop through available units. I looked at approximately 8-10 units and found one much more pleasing. The remainder of our stay was better as a result. All this being said, we were somewhat disappointed in Seawatch. We did not realize there was Seawatch and Wyndham Seawatch. We had stayed Wyndham two years ago. There is no comparison to the Wyndham rooms and SeaWatch rooms. Wyndham has updated and are extremely nice. Not sure we will stay here again. No one even told us we could get pool towels when we checked in, and offered no tv channel guide. We found that out from another guest. HBO was scrambled on the tv. Very poor selection of tv channels in general. I realize using Vrbo is a good avenue to save money. But it should not mean that the room we rent is less on quality. I may mention that the housekeeping and maintenance staff were outstanding!
