This is nice place to stay at Muang Pan which nearby Buddhist Temple Wat Chaloem Phrakiat Phrachomklao Rachanuson (only 10 minute car drive). Not much insects inside the room as other review, clean, friendly owner and nice pork porridge in the morning too. Convenient as 7-11 nearby. Great location to see Chaloem Phrakiat Temple on top of the mountain from Him Doy Muang Pan resort.

Rural and Rustic
The Him Doy Resort is located a short distance from the 7/11 on the Lampang Road and is set in the middle of rice paddies which provides a pleasant rural aspect yet close to Muang Pan village. The buildings are new and handcrafted and provide all the basic amenities. A short walk to the back of the property is the reception area, sitting area and serving counter for refreshments and breakfast service. Services cease at 17.00 hrs and open again at 7.00hrs. The staff were pleasant and responsive to requests. Breakfast menu is limited to Thai porridge with assorted accompaniments. The best part is the hand crafted coffee grown locally and served plus bags of freshly roasted beans to take away. Overall a pleasant stay in a quiet corner of rural Thailand. Happy to visit again.
Tip for prospective guests: Make sure your room selection is what you want. Fan v A/C. We upgraded on arrival from fan to A/C and were overcharged the difference between the room prices. There seems to be no 'onsite' discretionary allowance for staff to make adjustments and a telephone enquiry elicited no offer of recompense for the overcharged amount. Very disappointing!
Pleasant. Room was clean. There were ants & insects in room but understandable staying in the nature. Would suggest to use door bottom seal to prevent some insects to enter the room easily. There is a convenient store a local food stall nearby so no worry about food & beverage.

Very interesting place.
If you are visiting the nearby Wat(s) this is the place to stay.
Walking distance to the small town, and there was a food market set up next door in the field on the night I was there. The language barrier proved a bit of a problem during check-in but things got resolved quickly.
My room was large and comfortable with a great view. Set in the middle of farms - the owner's son & daughter (really nice people) grow and sell organic coffee which tastes even better when sitting outside admiring the mountains from the viewing platform. Nature abounds. A small restaurant/bar is across the main road and offers many...indulgences. The price for the room was super reasonable and I would stay again, no problem. A very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. I brought home some of their coffee and wish I had gotten more. Also, it turns out the owner would've taken me up to the Wat but I didn't realize it at the time. (The younger couple speaks very good english)
