“I recently stayed at this charming cottage, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. While the cottage itself is a bit old, it is very nice and exceptionally clean. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and well-prepared for our arrival. The neighborhood is also quite lovely—clean, peaceful, and quiet, making it a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a cozy and well-kept stay.”

“I visited for a quick retreat, and picked this cabin because of its proximity to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The cabin is as-described: good kitchen, comfortable beds, nice views. If you stay here, check out the South Grove trail, it's the best in the park (and it you're here for multiple days, save that trail for last). I am very glad I read the reviews. I saw another reviewer's warning about the driveway. If you rent here, arrive before dark, seriously. I got in fine because I came in……

“Wonderful two weeks in Twain Harte. The large lot was great for the kids to play in. We had deer visit every night. Great location - close to all Twain Harte has to offer. Loved the large deck where we were able to hear the live music coming from the town center on the weekends. Our large group appreciated the two full baths and the washer and dryer was so convenient. Gail was an amazing host. Hope to return here again! ”

“The cabin was wonderful for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was labeled which made it easy to find things and put them back in the proper place. We enjoyed going to Big Tree's and visited 3 little lakes during our visit. Our grandson liked practicing his casting off the deck. The back yard was wonderful! We had a fabulous trip!”

“Myself, husband, and kids stayed for 4 days in the heat of summer. There's no ac (we knew that already when we booked) so it works fine if you plan on being out enjoying the lakes during the day, which we did. I'd suggest having 1 or 2 more fans available for air flow. It was already pretty uncomfortably warm inside by 9am and another fan would make sleeping more comfortable. My only real complaint would be pet hair on all the furniture. We didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa or widow……

“We needed a place near the Snowflake Lodge for only one night. This place fit the bill. For some reason this booking never showed up in the VENMO app. That made it very difficult to get check-in instructions. Also, there was no cell reception for T-Mobile and Verizon. So download EVERYTHING you might need before you get there. WiFi at the property was reasonable. Small irritations: Three light bulbs were burned out, we found one replacement bulb. Was not told dishwasher wasn't working……

“Had a great time visiting Murphy's and skiing at Bear Valley. Accomodations were comfortable and the beds were comfortable (not always the case for a rental). The driveway was slightly steep and icy so a 4 wheel drive, or chains were required.”
