Renovated May 2017. A charming cottage located in the heart of Shem Creek just over the bridge in Mt. Pleasant. This pet friendly cottage consists of 2 bedrooms each with queen size beds and one bathroom. Living area opens into the kitchen with a dining table for four and traditional coastal cottage decor. A complete renovation of the property, brand new furnishings, great outdoor space and the proximity to great views, activities and food make this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy the spacious yard while dining al fresco or walk to one of the great restaurants near by. This property is located a block from the waters of Shem Creek and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards from a vendor right at the waters edge. Within a 3 block radius there are 18 restaurants and bars, 2 coffee shops, a beverage super store, a farmers market, and 2 antique malls. The heart of downtown Charleston is a 12 minute drive and the beach at Sullivan's Island is 3 miles away. The Historic district of the Old Village is walking distance and offers many beautiful antebellum homes, several nice shops and a first class restaurant. This is our second stay here. Very clean, well-appointed, and the location couldn't be better. Able to walk to the Shem Creek restaurants, short drive to Sullivan's Island, and a quick drive over the bridge to downtown.

We enjoyed our stay within walking distance to many places and a short drive to downtown Charleston. Very pet friendly property with an enclosed area that made it easier to walk our small dogs in an unfamiliar area. Appreciate the quick response when we had questions.

Location is great
The location was great we walked to eat and get coffee! It is pet friendly however you will need to walk your dog! Also the front door does not lock or unlock with the key so you will need to go out the side door during your stay! Furthermore there is another property behind the house it’s an apartment above the garage. This is not in the description of the property…we didn’t have a problem because we only drove two vehicles but if you need all three spaces you won’t have access to them since the people in the apartment park there. Overall, a great location to stay for a Charleston visit!

We had such a lovely weekend in Mt. Pleasant. We walked to restaurants and Shem Creek Park from the house. We walked to the pick-up point for the sunset cruise we planned. Easy drive to downtown Charleston as well. The house was great, it was just as described. We would definitely stay again.

Cozy and convenient!
This property is a gem. Just blocks from Shem Creek, you can easily walk to a slew of awesome restaurants. In terms of driving, so easy to get to both Charleston and the beaches in no time and there's plenty of parking at the house. The home itself was comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and as described. We'll certainly be back-- maybe in cooler months so we can take advantage of the awesome fire-pit area in the backyard.

Little things
Lacks a welcoming feel. The owner wants guest to strip bed and start a load of towels. That should be a no no. Besides the towels are so stained they should be thrown away.That alone is a turn off. No napkins, no tissues all says no welcome. Little things matter. The front porch furniture is falling apart should be replaced
