“I truly wish I could have stayed longer. It is a peaceful setting, especially in the mornings at sunrise. We toured Acadia, Bar Harbor, Southwest, and Northeast Harbors. FYI not much was open the last week in October. The house is spotless and well-appointed. The owner provides quality linens, towels, cookware, grill, and grilling tools. Bring your own Shampoo though. The twin room has a TV which we did not use. The King room does not, but it really didn't matter. We watched TV in the living……

“The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities. Unfortunately the microwave did not work and guest service did not about it. Neither did the local contact. Had bought home cooked food and the lack of a microwave was very bad.”

“This spot was perfect for my wife and two kids while we visited Bar Harbor. Except for some very minor road noise, the spot was very quiet. Lots of deer graze in this area, which testifies to the serene atmosphere. Greg stopped by when we were outside to make sure things were going well. He was very kind and receptive to our little bit of feedback. We took advantage of the nice fire pit and roasted marshmallows around the fire. “My husband and I spent a few nights at this tiny home in Acadia as part of our two week Maine vacation. I found the accommodations to be just as advertised. Everything was quite clean and the host was quick to respond to my text inquiries. The location is great, near several good restaurants, and easy access to the all the sights on the island. “We have stayed at Shannon Cottage many times. It is very comfortable and well stocked. The location is perfect! It is in a quiet residential area just a couple of blocks from the town square. The fened yard is great for our dogs. The owner is lovely and provides a personal touch.”

“Me and my 3 dogs stayed and had an amazing time. The location is great for excursions into the park to hike or drive around as well as easy access into Bar Harbor. The only difference between the online listing and the cabin was the carpet appears to be recently replaced with laminate flooring that made it even easier to clean up after the dogs. If you want a spa like experience, keep looking, but if you are serious about getting into and out of the park to explore with a clean, safe and dog……
