“When i book somewhere, like everybody else i read the comments and probably like everyone you look at the negatives first. The more i read them the more i wanted to stay here. So if you are looking for a 5 star hotel with all ammenties under 3 years old please dont come here. This wonderful 400 year old pub is full of quirky, the floors creek and are not all spirt level flat, the plumbing babbles along at its own pace but hot water comes and the shower got me clean. “The caravan was very clean on arrival. The host had left cleaning products for us. The beds were made and also extra bedding. Clean towels were available. The host called before we arrived to let us know she had left ice lollies for the children and some crisps. There was also things like ready meals, tea, coffee, sugar and sauces. Also a bbq to use. ”

“We have stayed at The Victory three times now, it is very convenient if you want to go out for food around West Mersea and don't want to worry about driving. Plus it is close to the seafront walk of West Mersea Beach. Rooms are very clean, plus you have the advantage that they are part of a pub, therefore the ability to step down for a drink or food at any point.”

“The staff were very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the lead for the kettle could only b plugged in if you took the plug out of the tv. But I believe they r addressing this. Also I couldn’t get terrestrial tv, but that was possibly me. I had to go through apps. The bed was really comfy and the room was what ever temperature you wanted it to be. I would stay again. Although it might b good if they get slow closing doors, as you do hear your neighbors ”
