We enjoyed a lovely meal with our hosts and really enjoyed getting to know them and learning more about the island. On arrival Ingrid had a taxi waiting to take us to the Villa where Ingrid and Olivier were waiting to greet us. “We had a superb stay here at Fare Toerau. The house is spacious with an open floor plan and lofted second floor. Its modern appliances for cooking and laundry made staying here very convenient, and sleeping is comfortable with the bedroom ACs. The provided bikes and snorkeling equipment are also handy and we made good use of them - it’s a nice bike ride to Matira beach. “Convenient location Quiet and pleasant area away from the “hustle and bustle” of the tourist area in amongst mostly locals. Could use a new mattress and some toilet paper upon arrival would have been nice. Overall a good value for the area.”

“Married couple own the lodge. They are both very nice and helpful. They have four dogs. One dog bark's a lot. Bora Bora has lots of hungry stray homeless dogs. Perhaps they provided a home to some. Also, there are other houses next to the Lodge. People make noise. Need ear plugs. You need a car or scooter for transportation. Avis rental is at the Vaitape dock where the airport water taxi drops passengers off. Use the Avis Bora Bora website to reserve a car or scooter. The lodge is 3/4 mile from……

“Great location! Loved the separate bungalow with two twin beds, close to the water. Other two bedrooms were very nice! Not far from where the ferry drops you off. A few days we could see cruise ships parked out in the water. Centrally located. Overall Great!!! Short 10 minutes drive to Matira Beach and Bora Bora dive center!! ”

“We had an amazing stay at this villa. The location is perfect - walking to a market, a beautiful beach, and several restaurants as well as Avis (in case one wanted to rent a car or a moped) and some places to book excursions. The pool is beautiful. Ingrid and Olivier were the best hosts that we have ever had. Ingrid recommend restaurants and helped by calling tacos for transportation into town. We felt very much at home. We felt very lucky to have decided to stay at this villa and wound do so……
