“The owners were very happy to make sure we had what we needed. A few requests were addressed immediately. All in all it was good. The only problem was that you had to park about 100 feet away from entrance and walk over a grassy hill. Most times wet. ”

“We were in Elysian for a wedding. This house was perfect for our family weekend. It’s got a big deck right on the lake. It was a beautiful setting. The house was very clean and set up very comfortably. We loved it! ”

“The Hidden Cottage is so tastefully decorated and thoughtfully appointed, and an ideal location from which to visit our daughter during St Olaf’s Christmasfest. I will definitely hope to stay again at this charming cottage duplex unit. The property is compact, with very steep stairs to the two bedrooms. Something to know, as the stairs were a bit of a worry with my 85 year old father who stayed with us. ”

“Everything about this stay was charming! The house was a perfect blend of yesterday and modern comfort. It was very spacious but my favorite spot was reading by the cozy electric fireplace. The house was lovely and very clean. The bowl of snacks and teas were thoughtful welcoming touches. The town was amazing too! We found good restaurants, breweries, and shops in the area. “Our stay in Owatonna was great, although, we did not spend much time at the property itself. It was a comfortable space--in which we used both beds--pull out couch and the queen. We had some issues with the internet initially but pivoted and used our hot spot the first night to watch movies (it kept refreshing). The owner rectified the issue by the second night. The space itself was very clean (which we appreciated!) and has some nice updates. It is also quite close to Central park and……

“Okay. So this house is owned by someone who no longer lives in MN. A cleaning company/person was hired to clean the house but when we got there the house was clean in the sense that there wasn’t trash or belongings everywhere but the house was filthy in the sense that there were cobwebs everywhere, literally everywhere. Dust on everything. The beds didn’t have proper sheets on them and some had holes. The freezer had items that looked old and gross. I informed the property owner so she was aware……

“Hosts were very accommodating to our requests. Sorry about us setting the alarm off when searing our Thanksgiving roast. The standouts about this property in 16 degree weather were the jetted tub, heated bathroom floors, and gas fireplace. Thanks again. ”
