“This property was chartered in 1899, and offers an authentic experience. But that is not necessarily a bad thing! Yes, the room was tiny... basically a twin bed and a sink and not much more. But the shared bathroom was fine. Very clean and up to others I have had the enjoyment of sharing. Breakfast (to order) was quite good, but the real draw here is the attached pub, which offered many a fine night of drinking a pint with locals and listening to their stories, and the excellent food. “This large property is located in the heart of some amazing coastal sea paddling in Caithness. Massive sea cliffs, caves, arches, and sea birds just go on and on. This property allowed us to be all together, plenty of room for cooking, eating together and sleeping. Great views for after paddling cheer.”

“This is a lovely, well furnished pod that makes great use of all available space. Beds were very comfortable. The decking is great for sitting out. The harbour is a short walk away with the Fairy Glen walk and the costal John O’Groats trail. We had a lovely stay.”
