“A historic early 20th century neighborhood with some amazing Victorian homes. A great walking experience to the Gold Rush downtown. A good hike though back to the property. We walked down Stewart St and home on Washington St. The property was a home that fit the period. Comfortable amenities and an inviting front porch to watch the traffic go by. We didn’t spend anytime in lower level patio. Everyone we passed on our walks were friendly and welcoming. ”

“So peaceful. We arrived at sunset and caught the moon rise, too. Kitchen and spices are sparse, but the location is amazing. Of course, driving anywhere in the foothills takes 40 minutes, just so you know. Luckily we got lost because we couldn't find the house number, but Cody, the winemaker, took care of us. So magical. “Catherine was a great host. She was very accommodating. The air conditioners in each room were fantastic since it was 100+ degrees during our stay. Having all the linens and each chairs there was very convenient. The fenced in yard and deck was great for our dog. We didn't get to use the game room in the other house, but it was super spacious and could fit another host of folks (10+ ppl). There were plenty of restrooms/bathrooms, and sleeping rooms.
