Private wooded lodge home on 10 acres in Mio, MI is loaded with luxury and great amenities such as a hot tub, sauna, pool & ping pong table, shuffleboard, skee ball, arcade, bonfire pit, giant connect 4, grill, blackstone, smoker, and so much more so guests can make unforgettable memories enjoying Michigans great outdoors!

Perfect for large family, friend, church, or corporate groups! We also offer wedding packages (please inquire!). One of several properties we own in the area, pls inquire!

The property sits on 10 acres of beautiful woodlands with trails. There are 2 buildings on the property. The main lodge featuring 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, kitchen, 2 living rooms, and laundry room and the bunkhouse which has 2 additional bedroom/1 full bathroom and all of the games, hot tub, sauna etc and an additional kitchen.

The 2 buildings are never rented separately and guests always have the entire property to themselves.

Guests have access to the entire property besides the detached garage.

A local property manager is available to assist guests with any issues.

The property is a rural area and only one neighbor lives approximately 400 ft from one side of the property.

The property is located directly on M33 which is a major road but it does sit significantly far back from the road.

Guests can get around via vehicles, bikes, snowmobiles and off road vehicles.
GUEST COUNT- guests must provide an accurate guest count and confirm if any visitors will be at the property. An additional fee applies for each additional overnight guest.

SMOKING- Absolutely no smoking of any kind is permitted inside any structures at the property or within 25 feet of any structure.

No heat no communication
Home needs alot of tlc, half the games in game room didn't work. 3tvs is pole barn/ game room with no wifi out there to use them. We had our 10 month grandbaby with us and there was no heat the first night. We could see our breath, asked the first night for heat and no response. The big bedroom in the pole barn has no blinds. No directions on how to leave the house when we checked out. for

Family vacation
WiFi was weak. Rec room equipment could use some TLC. There was not a playground for the kids as stated in the description. Local property manager did an awesome job in communicating and follow through. Lots of side by side trails. Central air would have been better than the movable air conditioners, however they did work.

Read Reviews Before Booking!
Check in was a breeze as Adam sent us the information we needed. When we arrived, we discovered many of the games in the game room were not able to be used. We also discovered there was no air conditioning which made it a difficult stay for those with medical conditions. We used our towels the first night. We were promised that someone would bring us more towels the next day. We waited after reaching out a couple of times through the day but ended up attempting to wash some. However, we discovered the washer and dryer were broken. The host stopped answering any of our text messages. Then the cleaning lady arrived with towels at 10:15pm. On top of that, some of the towels seemed to have dry wall mud on them. The kitchen table was broken as well. Our last night, one of the eye hooks on a swing snapped with 1 person sitting on it weighing 170lb. Thankfully he was not injured. The floors were dirty and sheets were not the cleanest which we couldn't have even washed if we wanted to. We had no where to put trash since that question was never answered and there was no obvious place to put it. Our family made the most of our stay with the money that was spent to get 20 of us there for a 3 night stay.

HORRIBLE experience, the host lacks Communication big time!! It took hours just to get the code while I was on the way there and then he had no recollection that I even rented out the place or what property I was talking about. The house is very poorly cleaned. There are mice running around in both houses, and there are feces in drawers. The hot tub is green and there was stuff floating in it with a strong odor. The bathroom with the three beds in the main house my brother and his son slept in and they are itching from head to toe now after sleeping in those beds. There is no central air. We were only Provided with one toilet paper for each house, no trash bags. There were stains on the bed sheets in the main house. The washer was filled with dark fluid. It looks like they haven’t cleaned the walls or doors with splatter of liquids and streaks running down them. The towels and bathmats are disgusting. Between the lack of communication from the host and the HUGE lack of cleanliness I would not recommend anyone to rent this place out.

Inaccurate listing
We rented this for an extended family vacation. There were 18 of us, ages 8 years to 70 years. The location is beautiful, very quiet and picturesque. The town of Mio is very nice, we enjoyed river rafting and the restaurants. As for the house, there were no check-in instructions sent ahead of time, I had to reach out to the host for the code. He did respond promptly and also gave us the wifi password, which is not written down in the house. Upon arrival the AC was not working. I again messaged the host but heard nothing. I called him the next morning and he said he would send a technician out, but no one showed up. The listing promised a full game room and hot tub, unfortunately the hot tub was leaking and dirty. The pool table and arcade game are broken. The TVs in the second house, do not have wifi access or dvd players, so are useless. The listing also stated 4 bathrooms, there are in reality only 2 bathrooms. There were no check-out instructions either. We had to leave the trash piled beside the outside trash can, as there is only 1 small can there. We booked this house in February, with only 1 review to go on. Seeing the last review, 1 month ago, it seems nothing has been repaired or remedied. I did send a message to the host with all the things we encountered on our stay in hopes it can be repaired for future guests.

Bait and Switch
Terrible experience. Our family made the best of it and had fun together. Hot Tub was left running and had mold and scum in it. Games don’t work. Pool cues have no tips. No check in instructions. After an hour of trying, finally reached host for code. He ghosted me after asking me to text. Bed room window leaks. Thermostat broken and jimmy rigged. Dirty towels in second house. No main garbage cans. Side of second building has been where trash is piled. TVs in second building won’t work as there is no internet extender. So? No internet there either. No check out instructions. Had to leave trash bags out and hope animals won’t tear them up. Rent at your own risk.

Great host!
Our families typically travel out of state for spring break but wanted a short getaway this year and Adam’s VRBO did not disappoint! The kids loved the game room and hot tub. We’ll definitely book a getaway with this host again!

Arrived to a sink full of what looked like vomit. The Cabin bedrooms had dust you could write your name in. The hot tub absolutely disgusting not usable. Last night there found mice poop in silverware drawer. Other issues, toilet in cabin backed up, they did send out a company to fix but were unable too. Dryer does not work, Only heat source in second living room area is electric fireplace, breaker kept popping. Communicated issues with stay, asked for a partial refund. Property owner argumentative and accusing me of damaging cabin area. Ghosted.....

Winter Get Away
This place is so great! The communication with the property manager was excellent. He replied to my questions prior to the tip quickly, and then checked in with me to make sure things were great after we checked in. The property is a quiet setting, with a large backyard area with a fireplace that would be fun in the summer. My kids had a great time playing on the trails that are right there on the property. It is also right by some state ORV trails so we were able to do some fun off-roading. The house has plenty of sleeping space and hang out spaces. There are three bedrooms and two living rooms in the main house and two more bedrooms and a full bathroom plus a massive game room in the cabin next to the house. The game room was the kids favorite (and adults too, lol). It had everything. There was TV area with a big screen TV and couches. There was a skeeball game, a pool table, sauna, hot tub, a table to play cards at, and a plastic axe throwing game that kept us entertained! One day we drove an hour to Alpena and visited a maritime museum and had a great lunch. This was such a nice get-away and I would definitely book this place again!
