“Chose this house because of location. Our first time on the big island so wanted to visit both Hilo and Kona side. Location allowed for good options each day as it was less than 2 hours from Hilo, and only an hour away from Hilo . House is great and host is super responsive. You can tell how much this house is cared for. The home is somehow cozy and spacious at the same time. Very charming decor and has a ton of stuff for family nights. Our family has 2 adult children, one teenager, and two 12……

“Very peaceful and relaxing”

“The gecko is definitely more updated than its nextdoor neighbor. Both were spotless. However both are in dire need of new loveseats, or at least do a serious deep cleaning of these. The bed was very comfortable, which is amazing considering how bad my back is! The location was perfect for us because our forever home is in lower Ocean View. But for tourist it would be the perfect half way point between Hilo & Kona. And Pinapple the cat is adorable!”

“We had a lovely 8-day stay and the ocean views from the house are spectacular. We particularly enjoyed the home’s big and screened lanai. The Kona Paradise community is a very relaxed place and the nearby Pebble Beach is a fantastic spot for playing in the water and watching the sun set. The short but steep walk to the beach is worth it - and there are several parking spots for those who need to drive. There are good, casual food options nearby within 10-15 miles. We would stay here again! ”

“Our 4th time to stay here. Love the location and listening to the surf at night. We saw all kinds of marine life as well as cardinals, mynas and other birds. A windy road getting in and out,but all part of the experience. Dan is a great host, available if needed. The closest town,Ocean view, is a nice place to go for dinner or groceries. A great place to go for relaxation and away from the party crowd.”

“Very nice apartment with nice sunset views. Clean, well maintained, reasonably well equipped and provisioned. Lots of handwritten signs laying down lots of rules. Hostess very nice. Need clearer instructions on where yonpark the car.”
