“Exceeded my expectations. I knew that breakfast would be provided each morning. But I didn't know that Jeff is a restaurant chef and his wife Linda is a CIA trained pastry chef. Jeff and Linda were so friendly and accommodating. I felt almost as if I were staying with family. After breakfast I took my 2nd cup of coffee outside to the garden where I read for awhile. “We had a great stay at this nice inn. It is exactly what we are looking for: a quiet place on the eastern shore surrounded by nature. The cottage (one of seven) is spacious and well appointed. “The Lark's Nest is in a nice location. The home decor is pleasant to the eyes and well-arranged. The host provided us with all the necessities (towels, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, and toiletries). The cons were dirty ceiling fans, the sofa needed cleaning, and the outside lighting needed to be brightened. A mouse was found in the house. The host was apologetic, accommodated us financially, and sent out an exterminator to handle the rodent issue. Overall, the actual place was a good stay……
