Horrible experience.
We went to go check in, the first room they gave us smelled like smoke. We were understanding and let them offer us another room. When we had went into the second the room had mice droppings and random stuffed animals hidden covered in dust and mold. both out in the open to see.
They said we can pay $50 for the “upgraded” room.
We asked if we could leave and receive a refund because it was not our fault that we were leaving.
They said the owner is not in and they would not be able to call them.
Very unprofessional, if you are an owner of an establishment, you should be able to be on call 24/7, that is one of the requirements of being a business owner.
We asked for the managers phone number to get in contact with them, they only gave us the business card for the hotel.
We are not from here and we were leaving the state shortly after and they told us we could “come back on Monday” for a refund. We would not be in the state at that point anymore.
They would not tell us even the owners name. Just said he wasn’t around.
It was almost safer to let my husband, son (8 months old), and I to sleep in the car rather than this place.
They said there was nothing they can do for us.
