Tainter Lake has over 1,600 acres of water reaching depths of up to 37 feet. This is an amazing fishery with large panfish, bass, northern pike, and walleyes caught commonly (including off the dock of the property). There is a boat slip available for guests who have their own boat and a pontoon available for rent for experienced boaters. During the warmer Summer months the water clarity can be lower due to algae and locals boat to the most northern part of the lake during this time to enjoy the river fed sand bar for swimming.
The cottage is also a great place to stay during the Winter months for snowmobilers and ice fishing enthusiasts. Tainter Lake offers outstanding fishing year round, and three major snowmobile trails converge just minutes from the property. Enjoy the snow and ice during the day and return to the warmth and comfort of the cottage at night.
The property has been recently updated with work remaining to be completed on the lower patio, scheduled for Spring of 2025.
