Beautiful countryside property
Hosts were very welcoming but also kept out of our way. The house and pool are beautiful and the location peaceful. The kitchen was small but very well equipped. Our only comment was that the bedrooms were downstairs from the main living space and you had to go outside and round to get to them. This was fine for our family but may not suit with younger children. The house is very remote and a car is essential to get anywhere.

Wir verbrachten 14 Tage im Manoir du Moriers und genossen die komfortablen Zimmer, die viel Privatsphäre und den privaten Swimmingpool. Dies ist ein ausgezeichneter Ort für diejenigen, die Ruhe und Stil suchen. Der Eigentümer des Hauses ist sehr hilfsbereit und wohnt auf dem Grundstück in einem separaten Haus. Sie ist sehr nett und bietet gleichzeitig die Privatsphäre, die Sie brauchen.

Vieles ist kaputt oder funktioniert nicht richtig (z. B. Waschmaschine, Kühlschrank, Sonnenschirm, Stühle usw.). Im ganzen Haus riecht es stark und ungesund nach Schimmel. Der Besitzer hat 4 Hunde, die den ganzen Tag bellen und frei herumlaufen. Wenn wir das gewusst hätten, hätten wir nie gebucht. Für unseren eigenen Hund ist es nicht angenehm/erholsam, daher sind wir gezwungen, ihn im Haus zu halten. Der Ort hat in der Vergangenheit Auszeichnungen gewonnen. Da kann ich mir etwas vorstellen. Allerdings ist die Instandhaltung sehr überfällig und es gibt wirklich einen Unterschied zwischen Charme und Charakter oder Verfall und Vernachlässigung.

Een bijzonder geslaagde vakantie! Manoir du Mortier is een prachtig huis, zeer geriefelijk en smaakvol ingericht met een mooi terras en zwembad en midden tussen de bossen gelegen. Heel speciaal is de slaapkamer in de ronde toren bij het zwembad met de badkamer daaronder. We werden gastvrij ontvangen door de eigenaresse en op de eerste en laatste avond werd er een erg lekker diner bereid door de buurvrouw, met ingrediënten uit de eigen tuin. Daarbij werd ook bijzondere wijnen geschonken. Aanbevolen!

Zwembad is niet verwarmd zoals aangegeven op de Site van Belvilla. Volgens eigenaar is dit reeds herhaaldelijk doorgegeven aan Belvilla maar deze doet geen correctie…?! We kwamen met 4 kinderen en zijn zeer teleurgesteld want het zwembad is slechts 20 graden ! We zouden deze locatie nooit genomen hebben hadden we dat geweten! Schande voor die prijs!

Fantastic house in a great location. Landlord and her family were very helpful. The house is a bit old so a couple of things needs replacing (dishwasher and fridge) and the internet is quite slow, but I would still very much recommend this place for anyone who’d like a charming spot in the countryside!

Le manoir est isolé. Pas de voisins hormis les propriétaires très gentils. Sans vouloir critiquer, il y aurait quand même quelques réparations à faire. Pour les personnes ayant des problèmes de déplacement, seules les chambres de l'annexe sont recommandées. Pour les autres, l'accès soit à la chambre, soit aux sanitaires se fait par des escaliers assez raides. De même, pour apporter les valises, pas de sol lisse à l'extérieur. Elles doivent être portées et l'approche des véhicules n'est pas permise. Pour le lavage du linge personnel, il faut le donner à la propriétaire qui s'en charge car c'est un lave-linge spécial. La cuisine est très petite. Le salon-séjour est spacieux. Sinon, pour être en vacances au calme, il n'y a pas mieux !

We zijn heel goed ontvangen! De accommodatie was zoals beschreven op de website. Hier en daar waren wel kleine mankementjes... Het is een heel rustige omgeving, midden de natuur en vrij ver van grote steden. Het is echt een vakantie om te genieten met familie van de rust, de mooie omgeving, het wandelen... Wegens Covid-19 hebben we echter geen restaurantbezoekjes gedaan.

Heel hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenares met duidelijke uitleg. Het huis was ruim en heel mooi ingericht en was heel rustig gelegen, midden in het groen met een prachtig uitzicht over velden en bossen. Een oase van rust op het platteland !
