“Retired couple who spent 2 weeks touring Portugal and loved our 3 days at this property. It was, by far, our most authentic lodging, making us feel connected to the home and region. It is as described, a unique home set high up the bluff from the river and literally carved out of the stone. While there, we took the train into Porto (an easy trip but skip the CP website and buy your tickets on the train) for a day and also spent an entire afternoon on the terrace enjoying the sun and the gorgeous……

“Nice house, the description is pretty accurate. Quite comfortable for 8 people. We stayed in the mid of summer; the pool was very warm. The river was also warm and good for swimming. The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. ”
