“This camp was perfect for our moose hunt. You can literally see the access road to the North Maine Woods from the driveway. Plenty of parking, and great view of Portage Lake. The camp was exceptionally clean and well furnished. Beds were comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again.”

“The property was great. Everything as advertised. Neat, clean and comfortable beds. Convenient on and off the ITS trail. The only problem was the weather. Already booked for next year. “Was stationed at the air force base 40 years ago. Never knew Echo Lake existed. Finding this cabin, on a lake, across from Aroostook State Park was amazing. Even the neighbor was so friendly. It was just the two of us this time. Would love to bring family back to this property as it could house all of us. Fall colors were just kicking in. No eagle sighting in the nest, maybe next time. Special place to stay and location was perfect to return to at the end of each days activities.”

“Property, quiet, peaceful, clean, and safe, also well supplied with all needed utensils. We were there in winter though and did not have running water, which was the only inconvenience related to cooking, so did not cook. Shower and toilets in separate building, took a minute to reacquaint oneself with treks outside to the restroom and shower.”

“It was just what we needed for our visit. We were traveling for my mother-in-law’s burial at New Sweden Cemetery and this house worked out just perfect. It’s very cozy and had everything you need for the end of your day. If we ever get back to Maine we will definitely use this property again. Beautiful area.”

“We LOVED our stay at this property. I had my two boys with me (ages 6 and 4) and it was so perfect for us. The house had lots of space for them to play with their toys and I love that the home didn't have a lot of "stuff" (i.e. - things my children could break - HA!). A lot of homes we rent I have to do a first pass and move any breakables but this home was ready for us when we walked in. We loved it and will be staying here every time we come to visit.”

“My wife and I booked this cabin to watch the April 8th, 2024 total solar eclipse. This was one of the best vacation decisions of our life, we thought we may have to hike a bit, but we were so pleased we could see it right from the deck of the cabin. “We loved our stay at the cabin! The Hucks hospitality made our stay exceptionally enjoyable! They gave excellent restaurant recommendations and we visited the lake bog they also recommend. We also enjoyed walking through the trails on the property. We were disappointed that oddly we seen no wildlife on the property not even a squirrel or rabbit. We loved our stay and appreciate how the Hucks made our stay so very much enjoyable. ”
