“The cabin is larger than I expected; it is essentially a small house, and proved supremely comfortable. Vermont gets *cold* in the winter, but we always felt cozy inside. The decor, while simple, is tasteful and evokes a Longfellowian image of a comfortable country retreat. Shower and bath is *hot* and revitalizing. We hiked up the Appalachian trail and supplied our necessities at the Country Store, both within easy walking distance. Difficult hike in snowy and icy conditions, but well worth it……

“This trip was just as wonderful as the first. Spent our second Thanksgiving in this beautiful and private setting. It snowed 13 inches on TG day and it was so gorgeous! Sitting in the hot tub with the snow falling was really perfect. Everything was provided and check in and checkout were easy. “The king room is very spacious. However, the tub would not drain, the entry light would not turn on and the elevators are a little old and rickety. The property sprawls a large area so it’s a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby from the parking. We went for a wedding and the event space was very pretty, but dated.
