Without a doubt, DO NOT STAY HERE! We drove 6 hours to Mammoth, only to pass the hotel several times in the dark because there were no signs identifying the dark building. The lobby looked dated, dirty and disheveled. The small hotel elevator has seen better days, as has the common hallways with stained carpeting and missing ceiling tiles. The room was in fair condition with a hole in the bathroom door, caulking pulling away from the toilet, and older television with a low definition screen (blurry). The “pet friendly” conditions were extensive on site and not identified on the Expedia site. The pathway sidewalk leading to the outside area for dogs was covered with construction debris (loose nails, broken glass and tile chards, pieces of drywall, and trash in general). Lastly, the “free” hot breakfast was not free since we had to buy our breakfast and beverages at the Starbucks next door. There was no hot food left at the hotel at 8:55am. We were told by the front desk clerk upon our arrival that the hotel breakfast was available from 6:30am - 9:30am. So, needless to say, this 1st night of our Spring Break road trip was a complete disappointment. Shame on Shilo Inn for allowing this site to represent their brand!!!
