Staff was gracious and efficient. Lodge lovely and welcoming in a tropically worn way.
My daughter and I had the junior suite on the second floor, large and comfortable with a huge balcony overlooking the pool. Nice bathroom with plenty of closet, space and a tub with shower attachment. All a bit "faded glory", for us, the tropics and added to the charm.
I had read a couple of reviews of the restaurant that were not so good, overpriced, slow, etc. this was not our experience. Restaurant cool and peaceful, staff totally with it, kitchen quick and food excellent. Relaxing, not rushed. I found the prices reasonable...high when compared with the Hanoi street food we had been eating for the previous eight days, but I felt totally in line with what we got. We ate every meal there. And our breakfast included was more than I expected.
Made alotmofmuse of the complimentary bicycles.
Love the hustle and bustle of Old Quarter Hanoi where we had been in a Homestay for eight nights. Then, so,happy with the peace and beauty of the Mai Chau Lodge and Valley.
