This property was booked for (8) of us to stay at along with being a home base with other friends for a weekend on the bourbon trail. Our stay was during the first weekend of October.
The first part that comes to mind about booking this whole process was the lack of communication from the beginning, along with after the stay. When booked, we received confirmation with a few rules and was asked to provide details about our stay and such. At the same time I wanted to clarify a few things. We booked this property in July and I followed up promptly with some questions in which they were not answered until 2 days before our stay, which was in October.
We understand that you live on a river however the fruit fly / nat problem is pretty profound. There were bugs everywhere and I offered to send pictures with no response from the owner / property manager. No matter what we did to keep the house clean we could not do anything about them. One of the other problems was the garage door to the house was left open and the trash bins were covered in nats.
A couple other things include outdated light fixtures with knobs that consistently fell off, a racoon hole at the roof, we could hear an animal up there at night time. And some yard TLC. We had one guy walking under the deck and he slipped and cut his foot on an open stump. Lastly, if the property can host 15 people there needs to be enough utensils.
Overall, not worth the price. And no follow up from owner / manager after our stay.
