“This place is hard to rate as it really depends on what you are looking for. Location is 10/10. We loved our stay here. Our goal was to be upon the mountains to do that and this place was perfect. we did several hikes directly from our front door. The views are spectacular, and you are well out of the hustle bustle of the city. There are not a lot of restraunts and you will need to get food and the small stores in ubrique. “This stay was our favourite in over a month of travelling Spain and Portugal. It is so unique! The castle is stunning and the vistas are incredible. The rooms are large and quiet and the restaurant was so delicious and extremely fairly priced. We had 3 starters, 2 mains a bottle of wine and two glasses of sherry for under 75€.

“This stone cottage in the mountains of Malaga province was quaint and cozy. It's part of a camp site with several other such cottages, so you don't feel isolated. There's a pool, but it was closed (for the fall season?). The surrounding woods were fenced off so we couldn't hike much, but walking within the grounds was pleasant.

“Our recent stay at La Posada Romana was fabulous. Nestled into the hillside under Gaucin, with breathtaking views of mountains, the Mediterranean Sea and even North Africa, this villa exceeded our expectations and allows for the perfect relax and escape.
