The staff at the hotel were lovely, and the location couldn’t have been better for our arrival via Eurostar. I was worried about being so close to a train station as often these can feel unsafe areas but the location was brilliant and right in the heart of town. Our room had a brilliant view out the window.
The only major negative about the hotel, which had quite an impact was just how small the room really was. We don’t mind a small room on a city break, but it affected its functionality. You couldn’t hang your towels up if you wanted to close the bathroom door, you had to squeeze between and behind the door and the shower screen if you wanted to close the door and squeeze through even to use the toilet, sink and shower. The rest of the room was easier to deal with being so small as you could just sit on the bed, but there really wasn’t room for two people standing.
Our toilet roll also wasn’t restocked but staff were friendly enough when we asked for some more.
