“Beautiful property outside of Houghton with lovely outdoor seating to enjoy nature. House was very clean and well equipped. You are a bit out of town. The listing says Atlantic Mine, but it seems more like Liminga area so plan to drive 15 minutes to restaurants and groceries. The exception was Schmidt's Corner which is 2 miles away and good for dinner and drinks. Overall enjoyable stay.”

“Loved the view from the porch! Just cozy enough for the two of us & our pup! Having a pet friendly location was a deal breaker. Location was an easy drive to go sightseeing in the peninsula!”

“This was a super convenient and affordable place for our group to stay during MTU graduation weekend. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all 5 of us - ages 17 to 87. We did not spend a lot of time there, but it served our needs very well.”

“We had a great stay at the Keweenaw Hideout. It has the steep stairs like a lot of the miner houses in Calumet area, of course, so better for older kids who aren’t going to fall easily. It’s on the corner so feels really private, and it’s a quiet neighborhood, which we enjoyed. You don’t hear a lot of traffic. Full bath on ground floor, then a half bath upstairs which was a very nice convenience. (I didn’t have to hear a bunch of fighting over the bathrooms) Had extra blankets for when it gets……

“This is a beautiful modern house on a long, long stretch of golden sand beach. The house has tons of windows and high ceilings so you feel like you are outdoors. It is a two level house so is perfect for larger family or just a couple (one bedroom on the main floor). It’s minutes from a boat launch. There are also smaller inland lakes nearby. The hosts are very nice folks. There is a lot to do in the area in spite of the feeling of being remote. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!”

“Overall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity. That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a……
