“I was planning on camping a couple of nights near Keswick, weather not looking good for a late arrival so decided to stay at Derwentwater Hotel... so glad I did! - At check in I was greeted in a really professional manner, in the bar the staff were super friendly! That was my opening night. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, set me up fuel wise for my planned ascent of Skiddaw (walking past a farm I camped at 47 years ago on my first Scout Camp!!) My hike up Skiddaw, descending to Keswick……

“Stayed for 2 very comfortable nights. Hotel is clean with very good staff.
The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom really good too.
Heating worked well and was easily controlled.
The restaurant was very reasonably priced with good service.

“The hotel was good.
We were in an annex, which you would have selected when booking (which we didn’t). We’d have preferred to be in the main building, for convenience and ambience, however, the room was good and clean.
