“Very nice stay”

“The property is right on the water. Swimming, kayaking and trails galore. We came to celebrate fall and the foliage was beautiful. There were plenty of small towns nearby for shopping and souvenir hunting. On the last day, we went whale watching. The cabin is beautiful and very well maintained. The grounds pristine. ”

“Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that……

“My significant other and I had a beautiful stay at this unique cozy cabin! This was our home base while in the area exploring Acadia and we loved starting our day with views of the lake and coming back to enjoy relaxing by the firepit. Everything was as described and it was nice having our own private bathroom a few steps from the main cabin along with access to a washer and dryer to keep our laundry fresh after a week of traveling and camping. “We enjoyed our stay very much. If it had been warm enough to enjoy all of our meals outside that would have been wonderful. We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. Although we brought an infant and a 2.5yo, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this property for such little/young kids unless you’re prepared for spotting them up and down the ladder. “This cottage was a pleasant change from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Although its small and cozy, it had what we needed for a short term stay. Barring a few check-in inconveniences, it was comfortable and we especially enjoyed the firepit that we spent time at after a long Acadia Park hiking adventure.”

“Fabulous accommodations - beautiful setting, just steps from the ocean in a quiet, working fishing (lobstering) cove with a trail behind the cabin. The cabin was spotless and truly had everything we might need. The excellent reviews are all true! We only regret that we didn't get to meet our hosts, but hope to go back and try again. In our opinion, the Schoodic peninsula is the best part of Acadia, and this cabin with its wonderful history is worth a return trip.”
