Avoid. Elevator wasn’t working and I was on the 3rd floor. No breakfast other than bad coffee and packaged pastries. Supervisor Alvin wouldn’t bring me a cup, plate or any cutlery, dishes. And not one cup in the room. Trash piled outside near receptacles. Hard pass!

I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was by far the worst. I’m pretty sure if I would’ve died in the lobby it would’ve taken them two weeks to figure it out. One thing for sure it would’ve been more comfortable than the bed that was in room. It would be hard for me to choose between being homeless on the street or sleeping in one of their rooms again.

Reserved a room with a king size bed and paid prior to arriving. Front desk informs me that all the rooms that have a single king bed are either full or housekeeping hasn’t got to them yet. Downgraded my reservation even though I had a higher cost room compared to the one I received. Property itself has many unpleasant smells. Hotel is understaffed and very dirty. Better options at this price point.

There’s was trash running out of the trash room the floor smells of garbage. The room wasn’t cleaned at all due to the management stated he didn’t have cleaners.

The staff were a bit interesting. One of the check-in desk people was so quiet, I had to ask multiple times if he was speaking to me. It also took him a long time to get me checked in. Not sure if it was just the equipment he was using. I also had to make noise to let him know I was there one of the times. I believe he was on his phone and didn't acknowledge me for a bit. He wasn't rude, just distracted and overly quiet. Another person came into my unit unannounced. Not sure if this happened because I had an early check-in, but would've been great to have a heads up that a maintenance person was coming to my unit as I was told the room was ready for me. The maintenance person came in the first time unprepared, the second time, he came in talking on the phone, his hands full, etc. Then he forgot something and had to come back a third time. I was working in my hotel room, so this was disruptive and somewhat unprofessional. It would be nice if he could identify himself more clearly in the future. He was just trying to come in and knocking aggressively. It put me off-guard as someone who just settled in and didn't expect any interruptions. He wasn't rude, but just think he could be more professional, clear and efficient. Mistakes happen, of course, wasn't the biggest deal, but since you're asking, I just thought I would bring it up.

If you're looking to explore further, the vibrant Irvine Spectrum is only 20 minutes away, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the Saddleback mountains and stunning sunsets that paint the sky each evening. The staff here truly go above and beyond. Having worked in hospitality myself, I understand how demanding this field can be, so it’s disheartening to see unfairly harsh reviews of this Extended Stay location. It's important to remember that this is a long-term stay hotel, so you might encounter guests who call this place home for a time—not all are in difficult situations. Life can throw unexpected challenges our way, but it's comforting to know places like this exist in our hometown, offering affordable stays that can be a lifeline during tough times (especially considering the typical prices in Orange County). A heartfelt shoutout to Alex, Alvin, and the dedicated young man who occasionally handles both front desk duties and maintenance, And to the incredible housekeeping team—your hard work and professionalism does not go unnoticed!
