“We had a rough start with communication and getting into the property when we arrived late. I was told I would get the check-in details at 2:45 pm. That did NOT happen. I drive for 4 hours and then had to wait and contact via What’sApp, which was never specified in earlier communication with the property manager/owner. Nela was able to communicate the information needed, and the rest of the stay went well. There’s no closets or drawers to unpack your stuff. There’s no air conditioning in the……

“The house was very nice. Not over the top fancy but comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for large groups. Would have liked some additional seating in the living room but the outdoor seating made up for it. Kids really enjoyed the pool with a great view of the volcano right out front. At one point during our stay the washer broke and the host arranged for the cleaning lady to do our laundry for us which she graciously did. They also helped book a tour for us to the Baldi Hot Springs and……

“The house was perfect. We had our two kids (3 & 5) and my dad with us and the three bedroom house was great. Well furnished, clean, and the host Daniela was amazing. The location took us a minute to find (Waze and Google Maps don’t have accurate directions) but Daniela gave us a video of the route showing where to turn. Once we found it, it was easy. It’s very close to many restaurants, has a playground across the street, and a short drive to any of the major attractions. Would definitely……

“This 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane……

“We loved this place, and would definitely stay here again! The bathrooms were well-appointed with extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The shared space had everything you need for cooking. All the appliances were new, and well maintained. Included a washer and dryer, and even a swimsuit spinner. The host was very responsive. The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was incredible! We saw sloths and other wildlife on the property.”

“This house is beautiful and made us feel safe and welcome on our first overseas vacation. The owner helped us find sloths in the trees and left fruit out by the patio for the birds which made our mornings even more peaceful.”
