“For being my first Vrbo I was a little nervous but this apartment was great. It was just like the pictures but there is definitely some wear to the apartment. The bathroom could use some work. The shower head needs something different because the shower head would always slide and start aiming at the shower curtain. It does get warm in the apartment so we did need to open the windows for the day because 78 degrees in the middle of the day was a little warm. The only other issue was the location……

“We could not have chosen a better location for our visit to Starved Rock State Park! Our loft apartment was above a commercial business front that is currently empty. The rest of the street was filled with restaurants, breweries, shops and a winery. The block was blocked off for outdoor seating for all of the restaurants and bars. There was music at both ends of the street on the weekend nights. All we had to do to have fun was walk downstairs! The apartment itself was just as lovely in person……

“It's a nice apartment, cheaply but competently renovated. There were cobwebs around when we arrived but otherwise it was clean. The beds are VERY nice, extremely comfortable which is so important. My biggest gripe, something not demonstrated in the listing, is the fact that the property directly borders an actve train teack, and when i say it's right outside I mean it is RIGHT outside. I was kept up the entire night one of the nights of our stay because of a pair of trains stopping and starting……
