The girl who checked us in seemed nice but did not explain why we were put in a motel room rather than a cabin, or why our registered dogs were assigned a room that said No Pets on the door. The room looked decent and seemed clean. Though it had two bedrooms the walls between were thin and the bed frame squeaky, the with nice mattresses and pillows. The kitchenette was great. Someone installed way more can lights than necessary, and then loaded those with bright cool white lights and provided zero lamps in the living room, so we moved a bedroom lamp into the living room to make it nicer. For $360/night I do expect something other than the most basic accommodation in a town with exactly one poor restaurant. A hot tub? Warm lighting? I truly appreciated not having a TV or WiFi though. I guess I would pay anything for that. And the location is a very special place. If you can get the cabin you paid for, maybe it’s better, as I saw lamp light through windows.
