This is a very nice hotel but the climate control in the room was not ideal. It seems like everything is locked to heating in the latter half of the year? I used a translation app to get the thermostat to at least make the room feel a little more comfortable but when you leave the room the power shuts off, and I would wake up in the middle of the night when the air setting would reset itself (presumably as a power saving measure)

Im Zentrum von Kyoto gelegen, sehr geräumige Zimmer, gutes Frühstück. Leider fand ich in unserem Zimmer die Badtür nicht ganz gelungen. Diese war milchig und die Toilette direkt davor, so dass andere im Zimmer einen immer gesehen haben wenn man auf Toilette war. Vielleicht sollte man das ändern. Trotzdem zu empfehlen!

A hotel should serve one major purpose, to provide guests with a quiet place to rest. Travelodge Kyoto failed to achieve this. This was our experience: The beds were rock hard, which impacted sleep and ledt you to wake feeling unrested. Althougg the staff were polite, when requesting an additional blanket the staff to sleep on (to soften the bed) were not willing/able accomodate this request. We were on the 10th floor, the noise breaking into the room from the street below was considerable. Even with the windows closed. Pity those who staying on the lower levels. Soundproofing appeared very poor. Additionally, there were 2x washer dryers for the entire hotel. We had to set an alarm for during the night to wake us in the hope we could get to the machine early as they were constantly in use. For a hotel with 10 floors and 20 rooms per floor, the number of washing machines for guests was insufficient. Would recommend anyone to look elsewhere for something that will be more comfortable.

There are three main reasons 1) Poor check-in operations This took a long time to check in due to some staff members not being able to pinpoint the problem and asking other staff members questions. 2) Dirty facilities and odor issues. It may just be the floor or room I stayed on, but the carpets in the hallways are dirty. It looked like coffee or wine had been spilled on it. What I disliked the most was the room. The spices? It smelled like smoked stuff which was not a nice smell either, and I had to spray deodorant spray all over the room 4 times to get rid of it. I also ventilated the room, but that didn't get rid of the smell, and I had to put up with it because it was at a level where I could spend the night anyway. (3) Surroundings I think it is good for sightseeing, but it is not a comfortable environment because of the noise of some cars during the night. To their credit, the beds in the rooms themselves are spacious, and I would not have given this rating if they were not smelly and dirty.

L'hotel est idealement situé dans un quartier très animé et proche des commerces et autre animation. Le petit dejeuner fait le job mais sans plus. Chambre bien aménagée mais manque de rangements. Attention, le menage est a revoir en particulier sous les lits: un veritable nids a poussieres et autres dechets laissés par de precedents voyageurs. Le menage fait tous les 3 jours semble un peu superficiel. Dans l'ensemble le sejour s'est bien passé et le personnel très sympatique.

In a busy area during the day and evening, this hotel is surprisingky quiet. I had the luvk of a room on the 14th floor with stunning view. Syores are within walking distance, food area as well. And as many other tourists, we took the early public transport to visit the many temples, zengarden and royal palace.
