“We booked this last minute as our original booking cancelled and it was the best thing that happened. This hotel was great, it was close to the heart of the town and as close as you can stay to the Black Lake - 35 min walk or 4 min drive to the car park. Staff on reception were so friendly and welcoming. They even upgraded us to an exec suite, which was lovely! So much so, we decided to relax in the room for the afternoon instead of sightseeing. “Allen was so gracious helping us to figure out exactly what to do to make our visit perfect. The scenery there is some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen and the food they served was the best we’ve had since traveling in Montenegro. Hosts are very knowledgeable and their love for the area is contagious. ”

“DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! I booked an apartment in March for April after spending hours looking at potential options. We arrived at the apartment to be told it wasn’t ready and we’d have to go to a hotel in Zabljak instead! The apartment wasn’t ready because it was early in the season! The property is still being advertised as available now! We didn’t stay at the hotel because it was a small room with kitchenette that wasn’t suitable. We found another apartment nearby. The man at SOA Hotel……

“The apartment hosts are very kind, and helpful people, even giving me a lift one day. The apartment was clean, and reasonably spacious with cooking facilities. Just be aware that the apartment is about 1.5km walk from the main town, and about a 3km from the national park entrance (assuming your going to the main lake - Crno Jezero). Parking in the town/national park is difficult and not cheap.”

“Some small issues spoiled our holidays. That is a pity, since this house has a big potential.”

“The apartment is very clean and equipped with the necessary. We missed some things that make life easier, such as a pair of scissors in the kitchen or a shelf in the bathroom. The apartment is quiet, beyond the hustle and bustle of the village in a fantastic landscape. The hosts are very nice and helpful.”

“The space is stylish, contemporary, clean, comfortable, and easy to find. Could have used a little more storage space. There was no electricity when I arrived, and no running water at 5am the next morning when I needed to take a shower for an early departure. Host is responsive (but of course I didn't contact him at 5am!)”

“The owner never replied to several texts from me throughout the day. When I arrived in Zabljak around 6:45 pmI contacted VRBO for help and they couldn't get a response either. I contacted VRBO several times and did not receive any help finding a place to stay. I had to find a place to stay for the night on my own. The whole experience was stressful and disappointing.”
