We visited Lee Farm in the September school holidays with our 2 children, 8 and 5. We ended up in the Queenslander which was a bonus, despite booking a cottage. Plenty of room with great views of the countryside. The girls loved their time feeding all the animals twice a day, bringing back eggs for brekkie, cycling around the farm (bear in mind dirt tracks only!), playing in the haystacks and horse riding (extra cost and needs to be booked with Gavina) We visited the Bunya mountains, Lavendar farm, Kingaroy observatory, various vineyards, and the BP dam so plenty to do for everyone. 3-4 nights is probably about right. You need to provide all your own food/kitchen stuff (Kingaroy has IGA and Woolies)- I'm not sure if the cottages have a BBQ or oven so maybe check before you come! The kids will get dirty!! And love it. Old trainers/boots are handy. The farm is very rural, can be incredibly hot!! and has basic facilities. We would definitely recommend a visit but be warned- you may return home with a guinea pig, puppy or requests for more riding lessons!!
